Inspired by our previous campaign “sales for prison bars” (Greek idiom for outrageously discounted deals), our idea came to life through a surprisingly real and interactive character. Users were invited to step into the shoes of our character, give a go at their songwriting skills and submit their very own “Rebetiko song.” (type of Greek folk music) The initiative hit a high spot each noon between 2-4pm, when our notorious Rebetis Thodoris Lyzos impersonating a Kotsovolos employee, sang his lyrics via live streaming. All entries were uploaded on the dedicated microsite we had created and submitted for voting.
